steak over low to medium heat (pre-heated coated

a ground-beef, brown in skillet. Layer

on “low” 5 – 6 hours or until potatoes are

Beef Roast Place
frozen Roast in slow-cooker. Sprinkle
with: Pour
over roast: As
a substitute for the beer, you can use one or two
cans or bottles of coke (do not use diet
coke) Cover
and cook on low until next evening.
If roast is thawed, cook on low 10 – 12
hours. You can also shred the roast when done, mix a little barbeque sauce with it and serve on buns |

a package of ground-beef. Mix.

all together. Let sit for a little while, or
overnight in the fridge. Fry in a little oil and serve with scrambled eggs and flour tortillas.

and place in meatloaf pan and bake at 300°
for 45 – 55 minutes, or until no longer pink
inside. Serve with mashed potatoes and a salad. |

Roast with Potatoes Partially
thaw a roast, and cube it into 2” squares.
It is easier to cut when still somewhat
frozen, or thaw a package of stew meat. Place
in slow-cooker, or in oven pan, together with: 2
envelopes dry onion soup, or one chopped onion Slow-cooker:
set on low and cook all day Oven pan: cover tightly with foil wrap. |

Brisket Thaw
brisket. Place
in large heavy foil, fat side up, and place in a
deep baking dish. With
foil still open, add: carefully
close foil by folding and rolling end until
completely air-tight, doming it a little. Let
marinate over-night in fridge. In the morning, take
out and let sit in room temperature.
Do not open foil. Place in oven at 250°
for 4 – 5 hours. OR Place in slow-cooker with the marinade, cool on “low” all day. Before
serving, open foil, drain marinade, add your
favorite BBQ sauce and place under broiler for a few
minutes.
Serve with potato salad or baked potatoes

Chile Stew Partially
thaw a roast and cut into small bite-sized cubes.
In a large zip-lock bag, add flour salt and
pepper. Place
small cubes in plastic bag, zip, and shake well. In
a large pot, brown floured cubes in some hot oil. Add: Add
water until completely covered.
Add salt and pepper.
Simmer several hours, stirring now and then
and maybe adding water. Alternatively,
place in slow-cooker after browning meat, cook on
“high” all day.
Check water level at some point.

Meatballs Thaw
1 lb. ground beef Mix
with: Form
into golf-ball sized balls.
Bake in oven at 300°
until browned and done (approx. 30 min.) In
a bowl, combine Microwave
a minute at a time on high while stirring
in-between, until thickened.
Usually about 4-5 min. Stir
in a can of mushrooms with juice. Pour
over meatballs. Let simmer a while or serve immediately. Great with mashed potatoes or noodles.

Pizza Casserole Thaw
1 lb. ground beef Brown
in skillet. Add
one large can pasta sauce of your choice Add
anything you want – corn, chile, olives etc. Let
simmer a moment Unroll
a pizza crust dough in prepared pan and press into
bottom and halfway up sides. Add
meat mixture Sprinkle
shredded cheese on top Bake
uncovered 30 minutes at 350°. Serve with green salad and garlic bread |
JX RANCH NATURAL BEEF Steak Thaw
your steaks in fridge over-night (not in
microwave) For
T-Bone, Rib-eye etc. simply sprinkle some grill
spices on the meat, let sit for a few hours. For
cuts such as flank steaks etc. marinate in the
morning in a mixture of: When
ready to cook, sear the meat quickly over a high
heat on each side to seal in its natural juices and
then reduce the heat to medium or low.
You can also baste to add moisture. |
